Ravi Ranjan Goswami is a writer and storyteller from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, who currently lives in Kochi, Kerala. Before dedicating himself fully to literature, he served in the Indian Revenue Service and retired as an Assistant Commissioner of Customs in Cochin.

He completed his B.Sc. from Bipin Bihari Degree College, affiliated with Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, and earned an M.Sc. in Physics from Agra University. His scientific education and extensive experience in public service have contributed to the observational depth, realism, and variety found in his writing.

As a bilingual Indian author, Ravi Ranjan Goswami writes poetry primarily in Hindi and fiction in both Hindi and English. He has also translated several of his own works, allowing his stories to reach readers across languages. His writing covers historical fiction, adventure, mystery, spirituality, horror, children’s literature, romance, and socially relevant narratives.

His published books include The Asht Yogis, Asht Yogi, Luteron Ka Teela Chambal, The Robbers’ Hill, Chambal, The Gold Syndicate, Nakam Dushman, Sankalp, Cochin Stories, The Ghost Stories, and Living with Ghosts and Other Ghost Stories. His stories frequently draw inspiration from Indian culture, history, yoga, Tantra, social realities, and human relationships.

Ravi Ranjan Goswami was nominated for Author of the Year on StoryMirror in 2019. He received the Criticspace Literary Award for Best Indian Author in 2021 for The Asht Yogis. The Hindi edition, Asht Yogi, was also recognised by Yukiyoto Publishing among its books to look out for in 2022.
